Peggy Shifflett

Peggy Shifflett's artistic endeavors seamlessly blend her passion for painting with the craftsmanship of hand-built pottery, resulting in functional yet exquisite pieces that captivate the senses. Her pieces are  displayed and can be viewed at the Bay School webpage and Gallery in Mathews. This year one of her creations has been juried into the Art Speaks event in May. Pieces ranging from free-form vases to intricate platters, embody nature's enduring beauty, inviting beholders to bring a piece of that beauty into their homes. Drawing inspiration from the ocean reefs and their vibrant inhabitants, Shifflett's work this year is an ode to the mesmerizing wonders of marine life, translating the intricate patterns and vivid colors of the underwater world into tangible treasures meant to be cherished for years to come.
